The name of this synagogue was Tiferes Israel. It was built in 1923.

Boy! Did it ever bring back memories. I grew up in that little shul. I would go there with my father practically every day. The Young Israel groups met there, too.

I was born in 1938. We lived on Harmon. I attended the Shul with my father,who had his business around the corner on Westminster. We walked more than 2 miles to get there. I recall the people, the praying and the benchs(because of my height) where we sat. I was very young but have warm impressions of the Shul,the holidays and being jewish. Gary Eisenberg
