This is not the"Elmwood Jewish Cemetery". Official name is Lafayette Street Cemetery, formerly the Champlaign Street Cemetery. Elmwood Park is a non-Jewish cemetery. Lafayette Street is located inside of Elmwood Park. In 1851 the newly organized Beth El Society purchased the 1/2 acre from Elmwood for $150, they paid $75 down and paid off the rest.
