Does anyone know anything about this group at all....it has MARTIN/TERRY as writers.Appreciate any info.

I have the store stock issue of it, which, I think, lists the producer. They were a NY group. I think that Johnny Terry was the executive producer on this. Not sure if someone else ran the recording session (that usually was Terry's MO. It's a smooth mid-tempo girls soulful groupy sound. A very nice record. It's from mid (Summer) 1964. |

Robb, the Terry in the credits is not Johnny Terry. The writers were Phil Terry and Bobby
Martin so it's likely the group were from Philadelphia not New York. That ties in with
Bob's comments about the tracks also being issued
as by The Bluebells.
Check the publisher name, Philter Music ...

Thanks, Davie. Yes, The Bluebells being from Philadelphia makes it more likely. If Bobby Martin was the writer and arranger, than it was likely recorded in Philadelphia, as well. |
