If it's a clip of Aretha in a multi colored mini, the backup singers were Carolyn Franklin, Wylene Ivy and Charnessa Butts/Jones. They toured with Aretha from 1967-1968. | ||

The I SAY A LITTLE PRAYER clip is from a 1970 appearance on the Cliff Richard Show. I don't know who the backup singers are, but Carolyn isn't one of them. Along with Evelyn and Charnessa, she was a part of the Moniques. The ladies in this clip are the Sweethearts of Soul, but I don't think they were with her too long. After them, she moved on to her long-running backup singers Margaret, Brenda, and Pat. | ||
