Ann
The legendary Roller Derby queen Ann Calvello lost her last battle to cancer. The ever colorful Ann was one of a kind and if you don't know much about her life check out the documentary "Demon of the Derby-The Ann Cavello Story."

I called Miss Ann just last week to check up on her and her spirits were very low. She said she had been a fighter all her life but this was one fight she felt she couldn't win.

May you forever rest in peace Annie. Thanks for all the good times you shared with us all.

Brother Love,
This is so sad. I used to watch Ann skate it out with Joan Weston (RIP) when I was young!
RIP

If you say she was 1 of a kind, I truly believe you Brother Love. I have seen a few interviews with her. Her hair used to crack me up!!

Ann
Come rain or shine and no matter what time of the year Ann always sported a deep dark tan.
