Some of the original Atlantic albums by this lady will be available again in March. But I'm also hearing that her many fans better save their money because the discs will be pricey imports from Japan.

Great news! I own the Johnny Bristol produced "Feeling My Way" which was issued as a Japanese import some time ago. I would definitely purchase "Margie" and the Lamont Dozier produced "Hear The Words, Feel The Feeling" if they're released on CD.

Good news indeed.
The albums to be released are:

Margie Joseph
Margie
Sweet Surrender

All of hese discs are anticipated because Margie Joseph's Atlantic albums have been out of print for too long.

"Hear The Words, Feel the Feeling" was a great track by this truly underrated soul singer.

And if you're looking in on Soulful Detroit as you sometimes do, Ms. Margie.

What's Up?

:-)

Jester, you're so lucky. I lost my Margie stuff
years ago and have never been able to replace it.
What an underated singer she was. Now I love Isaac Hayes to death and his work with The Emotions but IMO, Stax didn't really know what to do with her. I can't wait for these re-issues, now if only somebody'd re-issue The Fuzz.....

Splanky, we should try writing Collectors' Choice to do an exclusive on The Fuzz.
I have to agree with you, Stax may have presented her, but Arif Mardin and Atlantic realized Margie Joseph could have been another Aretha.
I wonder how Aretha must have felt to have her producers working with someone who could sound just like her.
